1st Report

* within school consequences are given (recesses, time out, direct
parent contact, apology, etc.)
3rd Report

* principal contact parent by conference or phone (if possible)
* 6 day bus riding suspension
5th Report

* minimum 10 day bus riding suspension as determined by principal
General:
A. Depending on the severity of the incident, the student's response,
age of the student, how close together the incidents were, etc.,
these guidelines may be adjusted for individual situation at each
principal's discretion.
B. Second hand or verbal reports from students, parents, bus driver,
or neighbors, are not treated as Bus Reports in terms of counting
towards removal from the bus. However, students will be talked
to about the incident.
MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL BUS REPORT GUIDELINES:
1. Non-Safety or Minor Incident -
* First referral will be detention and all other subsequent referrals
will follow guidelines for behavior causing a safety concern.
(Example: Eating or drinking on the bus)
2. Safety or Major Incident -
1st referral * 5 days off the bus
2nd referral * 10 days off the bus
3rd referral * 15 days off the bus
4th referral * 45 days off the bus
5th referral * permanent exclusion
(Example: Standing, moving around, swearing, yelling, hands/arms/head
out of bus)
The building guidelines will also be enforced for behaviors such
as fighting, smoking, or demeaning/obscene language directed at
staff members.
Building administrators may adjust the guidelines as they deem
necessary due to individual circumstances.
